Jonas Brothers madness! So Buzznet asked me to spend the day with the Jonas Brothers (click the link for Buzznet's story, photos and videos) and I sorta/kinda squeed like a seventh grade girl hopped up on Cocoa Puffs. Ok, granted - I'm a little old (and jaded like Ms. Scarlett's pistol grip) but still - Rolling Stone cover, screaming fangirls, clean-cut teen pop! Count me in! I'm such a prostitute when it comes to fame. Seriously - can you break a ten? Five is fine, baby.

The boys (Kevin, 20, Joe, 19, Nick, 15) were playing a show in New Jersey on Saturday night, but they spent the first part of their day watching the New York Yankees take batting practice. I was there on the field in Yankee Stadium as they met their idol, Derek Jeter (he's thinner in person and a little chilly.)

In a book by author Richard Laermer entitled 2011: Trendspotting for the Next Decade, a whole chapter is dedicated to avoiding the mistakes made by a certain pop diva. He criticizes Jennifer Lopez for stretching herself too thin across a multitude of ventures, without really excelling in any one arena.

In Jennifer Lopez's Antics: The J Down Lo, Laermer sums up his thoughts on teh multi-hyphenate when he says, "Honestly, there is something to be said for people like Lopez who think they are gods in fact getting a comeuppance from their fans."

 

Now that's quite a kick in the butt.

-The new Harry Potter movie will be released next summer, instead of this fall because its star Daniel Radcliffe will be promoting the Broadway run of his play Equuus. The onstage nudity and sex scenes in the production that prompted Warner Bros. to reschedule the opening. In other Radcliffe related news, the actor admitted he suffers from dyspraxia, a brain condition that causes problems with coordination. Lucky for him, he doesn't actually have to fly a broom for his most famous role.

-Tila Tequila said of the news that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi got hitched over the weekend, "It's great that people are able to marry each other whether you are gay or straight." She resisted the urge to add, "You're welcome, ladies."

-Taylor Hanson--the cutest Hanson of "MMMBop" fame--is expecting his 4th child with wife Natalie. Sounds like someone's making himself a future family band. MMMBaby!

My favorite hypothetical pint-sized diva Suri Cruise recently demanded that her mother Katie Holmes take her shopping. Wearing a fetching orange red dress and some brown suede Mary Janes, the young TomKat progeny looks like she's already got her own personal sense of style.

Most likely, the young Cruise child was encouraging her mother to get her own pair of jeans and to stop tight-rolling Daddy's. When Suri disapproves of her mother's outfits, she tends to try and hide under her blanket to keep the photographers from seeing that they're together.

Some of my favorite supporting Ugly Betty cast members also turned up to the event. Ana Ortiz looked like she was flaunting some perfect skin in her purple dress that although it was confusing, was a fabulous color, so I'll give her a pass--even though it looks a little bit on the lampshade side. Mark Indelicato was absolutely ADORABLE in his tuxedo and skinny tie. I so want to adopt him, except that could absolutely not provide him with the lifestyle to which he's grown accustomed.

Daisy Fuentes looked pretty and I always feel like only time I see her on TV, it's for some Guthy-Renker exercise video. Jon Secada was there in the same shiny suit I think he's had for ten years. Love him. Before we spotted him, it was just another day without him.

Zac "Elfin Gay" Efron and Ashley "Have you seen my nose anywhere?" Tisdale made an appearance at the Alma Awards last night. They presented their High School Musical director Kenny Ortega with an award. Ashley looked lovely in a yellow dress, and Zac still looks like Ellen DeGeneres: The Early Years.

Eva Longoria hosted the ALMA Awards for Latino entertainment over the weekend, and the hungering for a baby (not to eat) actress had TEN costume changes! TEN!

That's a lot of rhinestones, Spanx, and tafetta!

Longoria first popped up on the red carpet with husband Tony Parker wearing a teal number, and then became costume chameleon.

She also had her hairstyle changed with each outfit. There must have been some sweaty hair queens running around backstage, trying to fulfill Eva's demands.

Did they just glue the weaves on and shove her ass out there?

This is nothing, though. Eva had 17 at last year's show. Madness!
